Wash and dry the tomatoes and basil leaves.

Slice the tomatoes and fresh mozzarella into uniform, thick rounds (about 1/4 inch thick).

On a large serving platter, arrange the slices by alternating them: tomato, mozzarella, tomato, mozzarella.

Tuck whole fresh basil leaves in between the cheese and tomato slices.
