In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, ginger, garlic, brown sugar, and cornstarch.

Heat oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add beef strips in a single layer.

Sear beef for 1-2 minutes until browned, then remove from pan and set aside.

Add broccoli to the hot pan and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until bright green. Add a splash of water and cover for 1 minute to steam.

Return the beef to the pan and pour the sauce over everything.

Toss for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and broccoli glossy. Serve over rice.
